Dr. Rimal has been involved in NESS since 2003. Dr. Rimal has completed his Ph.D. in Geography with the specification on “Urban Development and Land Use Change of Nepalese Main Cities”. He has more than fifteen years of professional experience in the field of Natural and applied science. He acquires the intensive expertise on Remote Sensing, GIS, Urban Planning, Geomorphology, Applied Ecology, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management, Risk management and Spatial Modeling. He has been strongly involved as the Team Leader in Various National and International level Land use planning and Implementation Project. He has performed as National Land Use Planning, Urban Planning and GIS/ RS Expert in numerous Project. Dr. Rimal has participated in a number of national and international seminars, workshops, conferences and training programs. He has on his credit more than 12 research paper publications on different national and international scientific journals.
